my current favorite songs

For today’s post, I’m going to share some of my current favorite music. I don’t really have a particular favorite artist or genre, but I tend to listen to indie and pop music the most.

My Current Favorite Songs

Doin’ Time by Lana Del Rey

Don’t Start Now by Dua Lipa

i hope for rain by Elliot

Tell Me by Sabrina Claudio

Blinding Lights by The Weeknd

Do It To Myself by Nova Miller

i hope for rain has quickly become one of my favorite songs. I’ve been following the artist, Elliot, on Instagram for a few years and I’m so happy he finally released music! I love the soft-pop style of his music, and all of his songs are amazing.

Today I discovered Sabrina Claudio and I can’t believe I hadn’t ever heard of her music before. Not even kidding, I added 31 of her songs to my December playlist today.

I also have been really liking The Weeknd’s new song Blinding Lights and Dua Lipa’s new song Don’t Start Now. My dad actually recommended Dua Lipa’s song, and I really like it!

One of my favorite songs I’ve loved for a few months now is Doin’ Time by Lana Del Rey. It’s honestly just a great song.

Hopefully you all enjoyed this post! If you’re interested in more of what I’m currently listening to, I’ll definitely do more posts like this. See you all soon for another post!

Read With Me: November

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog! For today’s post I’m going to talk about books I’ve been loving recently, as well as a few I have yet to read. Since it’s the start of November, this is going to serve as my reading “bucket list” for the month, where I can put what I’ve read in the past month and what I hope to read this month.

All of the photos of my books were taken on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. If you’re interested, I will post a review of the camera and compare the three lenses!

As of lately, I’ve been very into medical and scientific books. A few of my favorites right now are Diagnosis by Lisa Sanders. I loved how interesting all of the stories were, and the division of the book into common symptoms made it more interesting to read. There is also a Netflix series based on this book that I will hopefully be watching soon, and maybe reviewing on here!

Another two books that are more on the scientific side I really enjoy are Survival of the Sickest by Sharon Moalem and Your Inner Fish: A Journey Into the 3.5-Billion-Year History of the Human Body Neil Shubin. Survival of the Sickest talks disease has shaped the evolution of species, and Your Inner Fish is essentially the history of human evolution. Both were very interesting and entertaining, and I didn’t feel like I was reading a scientific book. There is also a TV series for Your Inner Fish, which hopefully I can watch and maybe review soon. My copies of these books are definitely loved, and are a bit worn from reading and traveling with me.

A few books and other reading materials that I picked up that I’ve yet to read are Dante’s “Divine Comedy”, Under the Knife: A History of Surgery in 28 Remarkable Operations by Arnold van de Laar, and many more. I got a version of “Divine Comedy” that has both the English and the Italian translations, and I’m really excited to read both even though I don’t know a single word of Italian. I think the diction and syntax will be as beautiful as the words, and I also have the English translations handy right on the other side of the page!

Another book I’m excited to read is Blink by Malcolm Gladwell. I recently read Outliers for school and really enjoyed it, so I was eager to pick up this book.

That’s it for today’s post, I hope you enjoyed it. I’ll do another updated list in the future of what I’m reading, and I’ll include my reviews of some of the books I’ve yet to read that are on this list. See you all soon for another post!

Raving About ROMWE: Friday Favorites

When shopping for clothes, it’s hard to find quality clothes for a cheap price. There are numerous online retailers that offer clothes starting as low as $1, but how can you know if the products are actually made well? In today’s post, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on one of these retailers: ROMWE.

(Disclaimer: This post is in no way sponsored by ROMWE, although if they would like to I’d be up for it!)

For this experiment, I purchased items from almost every category they offered: tops, bottoms, dresses, and home decor. In total I bought 10 items for $42.37 USD, which was more than reasonable to me.

First, I bought this “Ditsy Floral Sweetheart Neck Cami Dress” for $7.52 when it was on sale in one of their “lightning deals”. These lightning deals take a percentage off of the price of certain items, with prices ranging from 89¢ to over $10. At it’s regular price, the dress is listed for $11.95.

This dress looks exactly the same in person as it does on the website, and it is great quality! This dress has become one of my favorite pieces that I own, and it is completely worth the price. If you’ve read my “Less is Floor” post, I’m actually wearing this dress in those photos!

The next items I purchased were the “Scallop Edge Rib Knit Tank Top” and the “V-Notch Thick Strap Ribbed Top“, retailing for 89¢ and $3.57 respectively during the lightning deal. Now, they retail for $5.95 and $7.95.

Both of these items are exactly as they appear on the website, and are great quality for the price as well!

The next two things I purchased were definitely just for fun since they were on sale. The “Leopard Print Shorts” were on sale for $3.57 from their regular $6.95 and the “Cow Pattern Short Sleeve Tee” was on sale for $4.46 from its regular $5.95.

To my surprise, I really liked both of these items. The cow print tee turned out to be dri fit, which was super nice since it wasn’t see through. I also enjoy the shorts, however they do need to be ironed occasionally to prevent wrinkles.

The next items I purchased were from the home decor section. I bought two pillow covers, a “Terrazzo Print Decorative Pillow” and a “Face Print Cushion Cover“, both for $2.66 instead of $2.95.

Both of these pillow covers worked perfectly, and fit my standard throw pillows snugly. They are a little bit see through if you have a darker pillow underneath, however.

The final items I bought were two of the “Flower Print Rod Pocket Sheer Curtains” for $5.36 instead of the regular $5.95. The only downside to this great price is that only one curtain is included, so you end up spending over $10 if you want more than one.

These curtains are exactly the same as they were on the website, and I couldn’t love them more. Since they are sheer they still let in some light, adding a nice atmosphere to the room they are in.

In conclusion, ROMWE is definitely good quality. I would highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking for some cheap clothing, shoes, accessories, or home decor.

Hopefully you enjoyed this review of ROMWE and it gave you some insight into their company and products! See you guys soon for another new post!
